It's been a whirlwind day on social media, following the announcement of Layfield Promotions - a new professional wrestling company spearheaded by the one and only John "Bradshaw" Layfield. Following the controversy with Vince McMahon and the United States Congress, many have felt that the playing field has been completely leveled and the opportunity to become the premiere wrestling organization is now within reach for many different companies. Of course, the WWE will do everything in it's power to bounce back, but that also leaves the door open for All Elite Wrestling, Ring of Honor, Impact Wrestling and even New Japan Pro Wrestling to climb to the top of the mountain. Well, after today, you can add another competitor into the field as Layfield Promotions looks as if it's poised for great things.
In a press conference, JBL indicated that he was doing everything in his power to set up a throwback territory-style organization, with Layfield Promotions primarily being based in the Southern United States.
JBL indicated that more information would be available in the future, but was playing his cards pretty close to his chest for the time being.
